“Enemy-occupied territory–that’s what this world is. Christianity is the story of how the rightful King has landed… and is calling us to take part in a great campaign of sabotage.” -C.S. Lewis
Lord, where do we even begin in times like this? I don’t live in Paris, I wasn’t born in Paris, I have never even been to Paris, and yet this hits so close to home.
I know from personal experience that tragedy can strike your life when you least expect it, in many different magnitudes.
America knows this too.
All we can pray is the only thing that matters: God, let Your will be done, let Your presence be made known, let Your light and goodness overtake the evil and darkness of this world.
Now, more than ever, let us run toward You with urgency. Let us aide You in rescuing as many souls as possible before Your coming, which is so soon. It has to be. Your final evacuation from this wasteland can’t be far off.
Lord, prepare us for You, for Your coming, for Your glory. Comfort those who are hurt and grieving because of these horrible attacks. Let this time bring them closer to You. Don’t let this be turned into a time of “God, where were You?,” let this be a time of “God, I feel You. You’re with me now.” Jesus, Your name be Glorified. ♡
