The greatest truth Jesus has taught me so far: Allowing Him to live in and through me is more than enough.
I don’t have to follow a list of rules. I don’t have to be perfect. I don’t have to impress anyone or pretend to be something I’m not.
All I have to do is surrender at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to take control of my heart.
That sounds simple, but it isn’t always.
Sometimes we want to take the reigns. Sometimes we want to try and prove ourselves worthy. Sometimes we want to be self-sufficient and “brave.”
Jesus asks that we surrender all control. Jesus asks that we realize we are not perfect or worthy, and that’s why His love and sacrifice mean so much. Jesus asks that we practice the greatest act of bravery, which is to admit we need help to the One Who has been carrying us all along. Jesus asks that we admit our weakness, because that is where His character and strength can really shine.
Jesus asks that we kneel down, so that when others look at us they only see Him.
