A Few Fun Facts About me

Hey, Friends!
First, let me apologize for missing last week’s post. It was a crazy week and I just could not muster the mental energy to write. But that is no reason to break my commitment to you. I can never fully express my gratitude for each of you taking the time to read my posts. And for those of you who subscribe, allowing me to be instantly dropped into your inbox anytime I want, you get an extra dose of gratitude and prayers for strong coffee and an easy Monday.
So am I forgiven? Whew. Glad that’s cleared up.

A lot of new people have joined the Choosing Jesus community recently.

First, WELCOME!! You are so wanted, welcome, and appreciated here.
Second, Thank you! Your support does not go unnoticed.
And Third, I thought it might be a good time for an Introduction and some fun facts about me.

As you have probably already realized, my name is Bethany Boynton.
I am 23 years old. I first accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 12 but I truly encountered Him when I was 16.

Things I love:

Coffee. I drink mine black and like it extremely strong. Coffee with sugar in it makes me gag, but I can handle a little creamer from time to time.

Travel. I have been to 26 states and 1 country outside of the U.S., Jamaica. My favorite thing when I travel is immersing myself in the culture. I don’t want to go somewhere and be a tourist, I want to go and experience life the way the locals do. I believe this to be one of the best and most fun ways to get to know people and expand your mind.

Reading. I will read just about anything but my favorite genres are typically Christian living, memoirs and biographies, historical fiction, and I love a good romance novel from time to time.

Being outdoors, that is where I feel most connected to God.

Authenticity and vulnerability because I know how difficult and valuable both are.

Adventure of any kind.

Sandwiches, Pickles, and Pasta.

I have lived in Central Kentucky my entire life. It is a beautiful place with beautiful people but I have always hoped to someday move out of state and that is still a long-term goal that my husband and I have.

Speaking of which, I am newly married to my wonderful husband Tyler.
We will have been together 2 years on the 22nd of this month and we will celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary on June 10th. (We have an absolutely magical love story but I’ll save that for another time. I’ll just leave you with the fact that we were best friends for almost a year before we ever went on our first date.)

He and I love going to the movies (more than we should) and we are complete food snobs for date nights. We would rather budget and save for a good meal than settle for a low-quality meal for less.

We have a 3-month-old long-haired chihuahua. His name is Han Solo but we call him Hans. He is a handful… make that TWO handfuls, but we love having him around.

We found our current home church together before we were married. We attend Quest Community Church in Lexington, Ky and couldn’t possibly love it more.

I have always loved to write. When I was little I always kept diaries and was constantly writing stories and “books.”
I first started this blog in 2014 to share my posts that were too lengthy for Facebook and it has now blossomed into my favorite thing that I do.
I also write for and the Devoted Sisters blog.

Well, there is a sporadic list of random, mostly unrelated facts about me.

Anything else you would like to know can probably be found on my Instagram profile @Bethany.Boynton.
I’m on there much more than I should be. If there is anything you would like to know and can’t find the answer to feel free to ask!

I hope you have a fabulous Monday to set the tone for a fabulous week and I encourage you to Make time in the madness to sit at Jesus’ feet. ❤
